Volkening Lake is a popular area requested for wedding photos. If you would like to reserve a time and location for photos, there is a $15 fee for a permit. Permits resolve the issue of two or more groups arriving at the same time for photos. Please fill out a park usage application and submit with the fee. Allow approximately 1-2 weeks after submittal to receive the permit.
Outdoor Weddings
The
Tribute Garden at Volkening Lake, newly renovated for 2012, can accommodate a smaller outdoor wedding party (approx. 25-30). The Perennial Garden, located toward the back of the park behind the police station, is available for a larger group (approx. 50).
Volkening Lake also has a large picnic shelter which can be used for a wedding ceremony. This shelter could possibly seat 50 guests. It is located mid-park.
Copley Park is an out of the way lake area with a small shelter. There is street parking only. (25 max.)
If you would like to reserve these areas, complete a park usage application.
There is not an area that is both indoor/outdoor usable.

This certificate of insurance must be for at least $1,000,000 coverage in Commercial General Liability insuring the Schaumburg Park District as additional insured and yourself.
