SPD Triathlon & Duathlon

Be a part of the ultimate athletic experience by competing in the Schaumburg Park District's annual Splash, Pedal, Dash Triathlon & Dash, Pedal, Dash Duathlon. Both races begin at 6:30 a.m., July 12 at the Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way and end at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane.

The triathlon consists of a 400-meter swim, 15-mile bike ride and 5K run, while the duathlon consists of a 15-mile bike ride sandwiched between two 5K runs. Triathlon/Duathlon Map

Both races are chip-timed events. All participants must complete a registration form. Multiple age divisions are available (15 years or older) with the option of competing as an individual or as part of a team. Team entries are accepted for the triathlon only. Also new this year are youth divisions (ages 6-14).

Entries received by 5 p.m. on June 22 are $35 for youth, $44 for adults and $117 for teams.  Entries received after 5 p.m. on June 22 and up to 5 p.m. on July 1 are $40/$49/$132. The official deadline is 5 p.m. on July 1. No application will be accepted after this time. Fee includes a T-shirt. There is NO race-day registration.

Check-in, body marking, chip assignment and pick-up begins at 5:15 a.m. There is a pre-race briefing at 6 a.m., and the race starts at 6:30 a.m.

Register in person at the Community Recreation Center or mail the registration form with payment to Schaumburg Park District, Splash, Pedal, Dash Triathlon/Duathlon, 505 N. Spinginsguth Road, Schaumburg, IL, 60194. Registration forms can also be faxed to (847) 490-2498 but will only be accepted with payment by major credit card.

Packet and T-shirt pick-up for pre-registered participants is available at Dick Pond Athletics, 927 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
