Tribute Park pathway stones offer link to past, present and future

Jun 24, 2016

Commemorate a loved one or mark a cherished summer memory with a memorial pathway stone at the Schaumburg Park District’s Tribute Park.

Located at Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road, Tribute Park features pathway stones available in three sizes, including half-stone, full-stone and an extra-large stone. Each stone may be permanently engraved with a personalized message in memory, recognition or just for fun.

Other uses and honors include:

• Milestone birthdays

• Graduations

• Marriage proposals

• Anniversaries

• Recognize a civic group

• Pet memories

Commemorative benches also are available.

Proceeds benefit the Schaumburg Park Foundation, a 501(c)3 fundraising organization which supports the District through funding recreation scholarships for disadvantaged families and other special projects. The Foundation recently donated $230,000 to the new Bison’s Bluff natural playground opening in late 2016 at the Spring Valley Nature Center.
