Make winter afternoons picture perfect with the Schaumburg Park District’s Continuing Watercolor class.
Designed for watercolor enthusiasts who have already mastered basic techniques, the class begins Jan. 5 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Participants should be familiar with various brushes and strokes, as well as the application of paint to paper.
Schaumburg artist Irene Peterson, a member of the Illinois Watercolor Society, will teach the class.
“We are honored to have Irene share her impressive talent with the District,” said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor. “What better way to spend a cold afternoon than painting with an inspiring instructor and group of budding artists?”
Artists should bring their supplies along with boards for mounting paper. Cost is $55 for residents and $75 for non-residents. Registration is required.
Class times include:
- 1-3:30 p.m., Thursdays, Jan. 5-Feb. 9
