There’s no better way to usher in 2017 than sampling fitness classes at the Schaumburg Park District.
The New Year Fit Fest is set for 8 a.m.-noon, Jan. 7, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Participants may attend as many fitness classes as they’d like, with classes being offered in 20 and 30-minute intervals. Included in the selection are cycling, BodyPump, Body Shred and TRX. The event also features a raffle to win fitness related prizes.
“This is a great way to start 2017,” said Alyssa Tesnow, fitness supervisor. “Different classes will be offered so participants may try a variety of fitness formats.”
Registration is required. Cost is $8 for residents and $12 for non-residents. Online registration is available here.
The District also is offering a week of free fitness classes Jan. 9-15. Click here for the full schedule.
