Get your paws on the perfect costume and head to Schaumburg Park District’s K-9 Dog Park.

Pups and their owners are invited to enjoy an afternoon of treats, tricks and playtime during Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade, set for noon to 2 p.m., Sept. 30, at K-9 Dog Park, 120 Remington Road. The event features an agility course, competition, free play area and costume contest. The first 50 dogs will receive a special Halloween treat.

“This is a great event for dog owners and their pets,” said Mike Wold, manager of Meineke Recreation Center. “They can meet other dog lovers, make new friends and see how well their dog does on the agility course. It also gives patrons who aren’t dog park members a chance to use the park.”

Cost for residents is $2 person and $5 per dog. Nonresident cost is $3 per person and $7 per dog.

All dogs must have current vaccinations. Copies of vaccination records must be attached to the registration form or brought the day of the event. Dog park members must pay event fee to participate.
