Celebrate the season of giving thanks at Schaumburg Park District’s inaugural Bockgiving.
Bockgiving is set for 6-7:30 p.m., Nov. 17 at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane. The event includes turkey and pilgrim- themed games and crafts as well as traditional Thanksgiving food.
“We are always trying to come up with new events for families to enjoy together and we thought a Thanksgiving themed event would be perfect for the month of November,” said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor.
“Thanksgiving is a great family holiday and there’s no better way to give thanks than by spending the evening with your family playing games, eating and being grateful for one another.”
Games will include pin the feather on the turkey, feed the turkey and stuff the turkey. Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and cranberries will be served.
Event is for ages 3 to 9 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire event. Cost per child is $9 for residents and $12 for non-residents. Parents are free.
