Spring Valley is on the lookout for one of Santa’s most famous reindeer!
Reindeer Watch is set for 2 to 4 p.m., Dec. 16 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Children ages 4 to 7 are invited to meet at Merkle Cabin to read a story and make a craft before heading out to search for signs of Rudolph.
During the hike, participants will explore the habitat of Spring Valley’s deer. Afterward, the group will warm up with hot cocoa in the cabin.
“There are plenty of deer and elk here in Schaumburg and this is a way to learn more about them, while having some holiday fun,” said Kyle Wenz, environmental education assistant.
Registration is required. Cost is $8 per child for residents and $12 per child for non-residents.
