Father's Day Fishing Derby

Spend time with Dad and enjoy a day of fishing, food and fun at the Schaumburg Park District's Second Annual Father's Day Weekend Fishing Derby June 20 at Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road. 

Everyone will get a hot dog, chips and can of pop for lunch. Participants must bring their own poles and bait. The fishing derby kicks off at 9 a.m. and runs till 1 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for shortest fish, longest fish, most fish caught and most unique catch for each age group. Age groups consist of 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-17 years and a Father's Group.

Pre-registration cost is $6 for residents and $9 for non-residents and ends June 12. Day-of registration is $9/$13.
