Bring your family to the Merkle Cabin to make cornbread, butter and applesauce the way the settlers in Illinois may have. Try your hand at shelling and grinding corn, while your cornbread cooks over a fire in a Dutch oven. Of course, you'll get to eat the results of your labors before doing the chores! This class is for ages 6 and older. Cost is $12 for residents and $18 for non-residents.
