Step back in time more than 100 years and watch history come to life at Spring Valley’s largest and most popular event held at both the Heritage Farm and Merkle Cabin! The event features hands-on demonstrations of frontier-era and 188os farm life including cider pressing, blacksmithing and grain threshing. Other activities include children’s crafts, 19th century games and live string music on two stages. Grilled food, taffy apples, roasted ears of corn and cold beverages will be available for purchase.
Parking is available at the Nature Center on Schaumburg Road and off Plum Grove Road across from Heritage Farm.
Admission: $5/person; $20/family; Children ages 3 and younger are free.
