Community Recreation Center Manager Kristy McCann reports from the 5K Chilly Chili Race at Schaumburg Golf Club. McCann chats with runners after the very cold 3.1 mile run. Special Events Supervisor George Grey goes on the annual Holiday House Decorating Tour. Grey chats with judges and one of the contestants about the beautifully decorated homes. Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller reports from the Twas a Saturday Night Before...,the District's holiday extravaganza. Waller talks with guests and "Santa's Dilemma" actors, checks out the fun activities and takes a peek at the 30 min. musical. Meineke Recreation Center Manager Doug Sieder reports from Jingle Paws, the District's holiday pup event. Dogs participated in agility course competitions, dressed up in holiday attire and took photos with Santa.

Schaumburg Park Foundation Executive Vice President Pat Casler and Schaumburg Park District Deputy Director Dan Otto discuss the latest happenings of the Schaumburg Park Foundation, the District’s fundraising arm. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting parks and recreation-related activities. Special Events Supervisor George Grey reports from the very popular Santa’s Flight to Schaumburg. More than 300 guests watched Santa arrive by helicopter at Schaumburg Regional Airport and enjoyed breakfast provided by Pilot Pete’s. Heritage Farm Program Coordinator Patty Kennedy takes viewers on a tour of Christmas in the Valley at Spring Valley. Kennedy chats with volunteers and St. Nicholas about 19th century Schaumburg holiday activities. Pat Casler, director of communications and corporate relations for the District, reports from the Schaumburg Business Association’s Pinewood Derby. Casler talks with Derby participants and SBA staff about the inaugural event.

LaFrenere tries out a flight simulation. Pat Casler, director of communications and corporate relations, visits the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry. Casler interviews Barbara McGinn, supervisor of program support services, who leads a tour of the Pantry and discusses items in need this holiday season. Executive Director Tony LaFrenere interviews Trish Dunbar, Schaumburg Athletic Association assistant cheer commissioner, in the BCUZ studio. The pair discuss the cheerleading and dance program and upcoming registration opportunities.
