Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager takes us to Santa's Flight to Schaumburg. Children watch Santa land in a helicopter before telling him what they want for Christmas. Dave Brooks, manager of conservation services at Spring Valley takes us around Volkening Heritage Farm and Merkle Cabin during Christmas in the Valley. Visitors learn about chores, food, toys, presents and games from the 1880s. We end the episode as Kathleen takes us on the Holiday House Decorating Contest and Tour. We visit the participating houses and chat with some of the judges about their favorites.

Patty Kennedy, Heritage Farm program coordinator takes us around Hog House to Smokehouse where we learn how families prepared for winter in the 1880s. Interpretive staff show the steps it takes to prepare meat to be used throughout winter. District Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller stops in on a rehearsal of the holiday production Twas a Saturday Night Before. We get a sneak peak of the show as we watch participants sing and dance. Director of Communications and Corporate Relations Pat Casler takes us around the Schaumburg Park Foundation's annual Holiday Shopping Bazaar. We visit with vendors and see what was available for purchase.

First, we stop by the Schaumburg Park District Halloween events where Dave Brooks, manager of conservation services, takes us around Volkening Heritage Farm where we visit with little trick-or-treaters. Visitors stop by each building for sweet treats before warming up inside with hot beverages. Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager visits Halloween Boonanza. Participants show off Halloween costumes while making crafts, playing games, enjoying entertainment and going through a haunted house. Next, Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller stops in on a Hip Hop Tot dance class. She talks with the dancers and we watch them bust a move. To close the show, Tot Coordinator Jeanne Gonzalez visits with little participants at Pumpkin Fun! Children enjoy decorating pumpkins and hearing Halloween stories.

Director of Communications and Corporate Relations Pat Casler swings by opening day of the K-9 Dog Park. Pat visits with pups and owners to learn what they love about the brand new dog park. Then, Spring Valley Manager of Conservation Services Dave Brooks takes us around Volkening Heritage Farm and Merkle Cabin for the annual Autumn Harvest Festival. Dave chats with visitors as they eat tasty food, create crafts, learn about autumn farm life and participate in other fun activities. Next, Tot Coordinator Jeanne Gonzalez visits Winnie the Pooh's Boo to you Party. Jeanne talks with children about the event, Winnie the Pooh and Halloween. Participants enjoy games, snacks, crafts and a story.

Schaumburg Park District Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller stops in on a Kids on Keys class. Kids on Keys is a series of group piano lessons for children 5-7 years old. Beth chats with the instructor and listens to a few of the students play in the District's Yamaha Clavinova piano lab. Next, Senior Citizens Coordinator Lisa Perrone takes us around the competitions of the Silver Games. The Schaumburg Park District, Dundee Park District and Friendship Village seniors face off in a variety of competitions including bowling, fishing, walking, home run derby and more! Lisa visits with the seniors and asks them about their experience in the Silver Games. Then, Assistant Aquatics Coordinator Stacy Johnson takes us to a Barracudas Swim Team practice. Johnson meets with Head Coach Adam Longo and talks with a few of the team members. The Barracudas were the 2014 Summer Champions.

In this episode of BCUZ, Special Events Assistant Nicole Sertich visits Safety Park as children hunt for flags and win prizes. Kids win prizes, enjoy ice cream and celebrate the 4th of July. Next, we stop by the Miss Septemberfest Queen Coronation at Poplar Creek to see the crowning of the 2014 queen. Each court member takes a few minutes to tell us about themselves. Then, Meineke Recreation Center Manager Doug Sieder takes us around National Night Out. Participants enjoyed an evening of games, barbecue, swimming and prizes! The Schaumburg police department and fire department were in attendance to meet with children and show off their equipment.

Schaumburg Park District Executive Director Tony LaFrenere sits down with District 211 Foundation Chairman Dan Artman. Dan tells Tony about the foundation, their projects and an upcoming 5K run that supports the foundation. Then, Schaumburg Park District Senior Citizens Coordinator Lisa Perrone takes us to the Red, White and Blue Luncheon at the Senior Center. Lisa visits with the performer as well as the seniors who are enjoying a tasty meal and great entertainment. Last but not least, Heather Hagstrom, SPD aquatics supervisor takes us on a tour of the Schaumburg Park District's outdoor pools. Heather visits swimmers and lifeguards at Atcher Island, Bock Pool and Meineke Pool.

Schaumburg Park District Executive Director Tony LaFrenere meets with Village of Schaumburg Special Events Coordinator Roxane Benvenuti and Co-Chairman Curt Rogers. Roxane and Curt tell us about this year's Septemberfest including theme and performers. Then, we stop by Olympic Park with SPD Division Manager of Programs Sandy Harris for the Youth Dodgeball Days Tournament. Sandy interviews competitors about the training and how they're doing in the tournament before chatting with an NADA court monitor. Last but not least, SPD Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller takes us to a Summer Dance Concert at Town Square for some salsa lessons. Beth talks with dancers and we learn a few moves.

Doug chats with participants as we check out the competitions and meet some of the dogs. Then, SPD Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller stops in on a performance of Street Theater - The Unprincess. Actor Frankie Rose tells us about the show and visits with some of his fellow performers. We also have the opportunity to see part of the show. Last, we hear from District Fitness Supervisor Alyssa Danca. Alyssa reports from Meineke Recreation Center during the Splash, Pedal, Dash Triathlon and Dash, Pedal Dash Duathlon. Alyssa speaks with the competitors and we take a look at the competition.

Volkening Heritage Farm Program Coordinator Patty Kennedy Green reports from the farm's first ever Country Fair. Patty talks with a medicine man, an undertaker and a farm equipment salesman as well as some Country Fair visitors. Then, Schaumburg Park District Fitness Supervisor Alyssa Danca reports from the District's annual Home Run 5K and 1/2 Mile Youth Run. Alyssa talks with runners about their race and experience in the 5K and youth run. We also get to see part of the award ceremony for top finishers. Last, Party Coordinator Pam Gauper reports from the Community Recreation Center for Noonie Times. This edition of Noonie Times features Scribblemonster and how they inspire children to draw outside the lines through music and entertainment. Pam talks with the performers of Scribblemonster and some families that enjoyed the show.

Over 70 participants joined the walk and enjoyed music, raffles, free health care screens and a lunch provided by Corner Bakery. George chats with participants and vendors and thanks them for joining such a great event. Next, SPD Director of Communications Pat Casler visits the Schaumburg Business Association and enjoys the annual sports challenge. Pat visits with Betty Cloud and Kaili Harding to learn about the annual challenge and how it is a great opportunity for company bonding. Gymnastics Coordinator Joanne Carpenter tells us about the gymnastics programs and chats with a few of her team members as we look in on their annual home meet. Beth Waller visits a belly dancing class and speaks with class attendees and instructor Mari Peckham. The class learns moves and techniques that work both the mind and body. George Grey learns about the multicultural heritage of Schaumburg at A Garden of Diversity: Our Multicultural Heritage. George speaks with families as they complete crafts, watch performances and taste food.
