Join us for the final release of the season. The last of more than 1500 monarchs we raised, tagged and released are headed to Mexico for the winter. See the tagged monarchs leave on their almost 3,000-mile journey to their winter home in the mountains near Mexico City. They are part of the scientific studies conducted by universities working with Monarchwatch.org. If you have your own monarchs ready to release...bring them along. Say adios to the monarchs then stay for the party!
Learn to raise your own monarchs. More than 60 people volunteered to come for 1 1/2 hours or more a week to care and feed the hundreds of monarchs as they grew from eggs, to butterflies. We will show you how to raise them at your home. It is such a rewarding family activity.
The party includes:
Featuring handmade creations made by our butterfly volunteers.
