Meet your neighbors, make community connections and learn how to keep your community safe while having fun at Schaumburg Park District’s National Night Out.

National Night Out is set for 6:30-8:30 p.m., Aug. 6 at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

6:30-7:30 p.m. | Engage with Schaumburg Police Department officers, bike and motor patrol, state representatives and the fire department during this one-hour informational visit. Enjoy games, contests and a DJ.

7:30-8:30 p.m. | Bring your swimsuits! The event continues with open swim at Meineke Pool.

“This event fosters community safety and allows families to learn the latest crime prevention strategies.” says Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager. “We hope this event continues to enhance the relationship our patrons have with those who are responsible for keeping us safe.”

Every year, millions of Americans across the United States take part in National Night Out. The annual event promotes community-building, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and strengthen neighborhood spirit.
