Schaumburg Park District aquatics staff recently received an overall EXCEEDS on their second unannounced audit from Jeff Ellis and Associates! They received a score of “EXCEEDS” on both silent observations and lifeguard simulated skills drills.

"Staff have been working unbelievably hard and this is a hard-fought win for us," said Rob Ward, director of recreation. "This result is further proof that the pool managers and trainers have continued to hold our lifeguard staff to a standard that is even higher than standards required by Ellis".

Schaumburg Park District will receive one more unannounced audit in August before outdoor pool season officially ends and The Water Works will receive 2-3 additional audits through fall, winter, and spring.

Special mention should be made that at 3 out of the 4 facilities a pool manager was also audited and received a score of “EXCEEDS” on a supervisory audit:
