Dance Lesson Videos
Dancers – enjoy these virtual classes! 5-6-7-8 DANCE!
Please note: There is one class by style and level(s) of dance. Please find your class and practice your conditioning and execution of steps. It is important to stay flexible, strong and energized, as well as maintaining your skills.
For instance, if you are good at a single pirouette – it maybe time to try a double. You can stretch until you have your splits in all directions. Watch your videos and work with the instructor. Let’s see how much you can learn.
Little Stars should start to learn the recital dance for their level.
Recital packet information: dress rehearsal schedules, performance dates, ticket sales, show orders and more will be sent after we return to the studios and have a better understanding of what will be possible with social distancing. Virtual classes will continue until it is safe to return to the dance studios. Once it is possible to return, we plan to complete preparation for the postponed spring recitals.
Summer session dance classes have been emailed in the SPD Summer Virtual Program Guide along with a lot of great classes!
While using these videos for practice, you will need to:
- Be sure your device is charged
- Wear clothes you can move in – preferably your dancewear
- Locate a small space free of obstacles to dance
- Be sure the dance space in appropriate without distractions, no bedrooms, etc.
- For tap class, find a hard surface or wear sneakers if necessary
- For Inspire ballet, a chair or counter can be used as a dance barre
- Be sure to be careful on a slippery surface – dance barefoot or with shoes that grip
- Have a bottle of water close by
