Spring Valley provides an excellent setting for nature and science-related scout badges and patches. These hands-on workshops are led by trained staff and actively engage both scouts and their leaders, with most sessions spending time outdoors. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, as some conservation activities may involve getting muddy.
Programs may be scheduled daily from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., based on staff and space availability, and certain badges with nighttime requirements can be held after sunset. Program length and number of sessions vary by badge, and reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Please note that attendance at an activity pin or patch workshop may not fulfill all of that patch/pin's requirements. See specific goals for each workshop as listed.
